Pastas, pizzas and risotto comes in our mind when we hear about Italy. But probably you have never heard about these deep fried olives.
The dish originated in the southern region in a town called Ascoli-Piceno and has since spread north.
These are the perfect appetizers for any event. These can be stuffed with various things like ground beef, cheese,prosciutto or many more things as per your preference.
These are made by stuffing the jumbo olives and then giving a coat of seasoned flour, then dipping it in beaten egg and giving it a light coat and finally giving a coat of bread crumbs and deep frying it in oil till golden brown. Serve it with mayonnaise and lemon slices.
